Senior Special Assets Officer

Job Summary

To maximize recovery and minimize losses across a portfolio of Residential Transitional Loans, the full-time Senior Special Assets Officer will independently manage non-performing and high-risk loans while collaborating with senior leadership, legal counsel, and servicing partners in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of distressed Residential Transitional Loans, ensuring compliance and minimizing losses
• Develop and implement comprehensive workout strategies based on borrower capacity and market dynamics
• Lead negotiations with stakeholders to achieve favorable workout and exit outcomes for complex loans

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in special assets, credit workouts, or asset management, specifically with Residential Transitional Loans
• Strong understanding of workout strategies, foreclosure processes, and OREO management for residential properties
• Proven experience leading complex loan resolutions in collaboration with legal and servicing teams
• Advanced analytical skills to develop optimal resolution strategies that maximize recovery
• Excellent communication skills for presenting recommendations to senior management and partners
