Senior SQL Database Administrator
Job Summary
As the senior technical resource for SQL Server administration, the full-time Senior SQL Database Administrator will manage troubleshooting, performance tuning, and proactive capacity planning for SQL Server and SQL Cluster environments while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical resource for all SQL Server administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning activities
- Lead proactive capacity planning and system health monitoring for SQL Server and SQL Cluster environments
- Manage and resolve assigned RFCs and ServiceNow tickets in accordance with operational SLAs
Required qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Database Administrator in enterprise production environments
- Demonstrated expertise in SQL, SQL Server, SQL Clustering, SQL Scripting, and PL/SQL
- Experience with ITSM/ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) for request lifecycle management
- Experience with database monitoring/capacity planning tools (e.g., Idera, SolarWinds)
- DBA III-level competency in areas such as performance tuning, backup/restore strategy, and incident management
