Senior SQL Server Database Administrator
Job Summary
To provide senior database administration and operational support for GPO's SQL Server environments, the full-time Senior SQL Server Database Administrator will create and maintain databases, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Create, configure, and maintain standalone and clustered SQL Server databases
- Diagnose integration issues and lead troubleshooting and incident resolution efforts
- Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintain backup and disaster recovery capabilities
Required qualifications
- Minimum eight years of experience in database administration with SQL Server expertise
- Hands-on experience with SQL, SQL clustering, and SQL scripting
- Proficiency in database provisioning, performance tuning, and incident management
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
