Job Summary
To drive application performance excellence, the full-time remote Senior SQL Server DBA will manage enterprise database environments, lead performance engineering initiatives, and mentor junior DBAs while ensuring database systems are secure and optimized.
Key responsibilities
- Architect, install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances across complex Windows environments
- Lead application performance engineering by analyzing execution plans and collaborating with development teams for optimizations
- Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies, including high availability and disaster recovery solutions
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience in large-scale, mission-critical production environments
- Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2025 on Windows Server 2019/2022
- Advanced T-SQL skills, including query optimization and performance troubleshooting
- Proven experience with Always On Availability Groups and disaster recovery planning
- Strong command of performance diagnosis tools such as Wait Statistics and DMVs
