Senior Staff Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of a next-generation cloud-native SaaS platform, the full-time Senior Staff Engineer will architect and build scalable distributed systems while remaining hands-on with coding and guiding engineering teams through modern application architecture using React, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and Kubernetes/EKS.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and evolution of scalable, resilient distributed applications in AWS and Kubernetes/EKS
- Set technical direction and engineering patterns across the React, TypeScript, and Node.js stack, including APIs and microservices
- Work directly with code to build prototypes, troubleshoot complex problems, and translate architecture into production software
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience building production software with a focus on architecture and technical direction for enterprise SaaS applications
- Expertise in designing and building scalable distributed systems in AWS or another major public cloud
- Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js in multi-tenant enterprise SaaS products
- Deep production experience with Kubernetes/EKS, including microservices and containerization
- Proven ability to drive architectural decisions and mentor senior engineers across multiple teams
