Senior Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
As a hands-on, full-time Senior Staff Software Engineer on the New Initiatives team, the candidate will set the technical direction for a zero-to-one initiative applying AI in oncology care, collaborating with senior leaders to shape strategy, design architecture, and deliver production code in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set the technical vision and lead execution for a major zero-to-one initiative from discovery to production launch
- Partner with clinical, policy, product, and operations leaders to translate complex care-decision workflows into reliable systems
- Own the long-term architecture across web applications, APIs, data integrations, AI systems, and cloud infrastructure
Required qualifications
- Experience leading complex software products from initial idea through launch and sustained operation
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks such as Vue.js, and back-end technologies like Python and FastAPI
- Experience designing scalable APIs, data models, and system architectures, particularly with relational databases like Postgres
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound architectural decisions in fast-changing environments
- Experience with AI-enabled development tools and shipping LLM-powered product capabilities
