Job Summary
Bringing extensive compute platform expertise, the remote Senior Staff Software Engineer will shape technical direction, mentor team members, and design scalable platform systems while supporting critical business initiatives and championing AI adoption.
Key responsibilities
- Shape Platform's technical vision and roadmap by aligning priorities with engineering and R&D leaders
- Design and ship scalable platform systems while evolving architecture through reviews and prototypes
- Support platform users to troubleshoot complex system issues and drive lasting reliability improvements
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant software engineering experience, preferably in platform teams
- 3+ years of experience guiding complex initiatives across teams with clear communication of tradeoffs
- 3+ years of experience building and operating production platforms using Infrastructure as Code on public cloud
- Proficiency in Python and at least one other high-level programming language
- Deep knowledge of Linux internals, networking, and virtualization with hands-on troubleshooting experience
