Job Summary
Working remotely on a long-term contract basis, the Senior Storage and Backup Engineer will provide technical support for storage-related software and hardware, perform provisioning and maintenance, and ensure the integrity of storage networks and systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and expertise for storage infrastructure services and mission-critical applications
- Perform storage and backup provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, while managing incidents and problem resolutions
- Participate in project activities to evaluate, recommend, design, and implement storage solutions
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3 to 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong understanding of storage hardware platforms (e.g., Hitachi, Dell) and ESX/VMware environments
- Expert level experience with Commvault and Cohesity, including incident response and backup strategy
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage operations, including provisioning and performance tuning
- Proficiency in automation/scripting tools such as Ansible, Python, or PowerShell
