Senior Storage Software Engineer
Job Summary
Hands-on and technically proficient, the full-time Senior Storage Software Engineer will contribute to open-source parallel and distributed file systems, troubleshoot large-scale storage issues, and validate storage architecture while working remotely or onsite in Santa Clara.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to and engage with open-source file systems, upstreaming fixes and features
- Triage and troubleshoot complex storage issues across large GPU clusters, ensuring performance and reliability
- Define and recommend configuration and operational best practices for high-performance file systems on GPU infrastructure
Required qualifications
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Over 12 years of experience in storage software engineering with a focus on high-performance parallel or distributed file systems
- Proficiency in at least one systems programming language (C, C++, Rust, or Go) and Python
- Experience diagnosing storage issues in extensive GPU or HPC clusters, including I/O and metadata performance analysis
- Strong understanding of object storage and block storage technologies
