Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant

Job Summary

Driving strategic sourcing initiatives, the temporary Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant will conduct market research, lead RFx processes, and negotiate complex contracts while working remotely for a global financial services client.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market research and develop comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned technology categories
• Lead the design and execution of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, analyzing supplier responses based on critical factors
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, addressing performance issues and driving continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of advanced strategic sourcing experience with a focus on technology procurement
• Extensive experience in IT sourcing, particularly in negotiating SaaS and cloud-based enterprise applications
• Deep understanding of sourcing methodologies, contract law, and financial modeling for cost savings
• Proficiency in data analysis and spend analytics to identify significant cost-saving opportunities
• Proven ability to lead complex sourcing projects from initiation to completion with minimal supervision
