Senior Structural Steel Detailer
Job Summary
Leading complex projects, the full-time Senior Structural Steel Detailer will produce high-quality structural steel fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures, collaborating with engineers and project managers while providing direction to junior detailers in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Tekla modeling and detailing for complex projects, ensuring deliverables meet fabrication and erection requirements
- Develop detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings, and coordinate with various stakeholders for accuracy and efficiency
- Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, BOMs, and material take-offs while managing revisions throughout the project lifecycle
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel) with leadership experience
- Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and strong knowledge of AISC codes
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Experience with clash detection and coordination
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
