Senior Structural Steel Detailer

Job Summary

Leading the production of high-quality structural steel fabrication drawings, the full-time Senior Structural Steel Detailer will utilize Tekla Structures to manage complex projects, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and guide junior detailers while working remotely from various states.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead Tekla modeling and detailing for complex projects, ensuring deliverables meet fabrication and erection requirements
• Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, BOMs, and NC files while coordinating with engineers and project managers
• Review and check drawings for quality and compliance with project standards, managing revisions throughout the project lifecycle

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel) with leadership experience
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and strong knowledge of AISC codes and industry standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and experience with clash detection and coordination
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
