Senior System Administrator

Job Summary

Serving as the senior technical lead for Windows Endpoint engineering, the full-time Senior System Administrator will manage the architecture, deployment, and support of Windows and Unix/Linux endpoint systems while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure security and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Unix/Linux endpoints, ensuring effective lifecycle management and compliance
• Develop and implement automation solutions using PowerShell and related technologies to enhance service quality and reduce operational overhead
• Collaborate with university IT staff and other stakeholders to support endpoint services and resolve complex technical issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and six years of relevant computing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced knowledge of Windows endpoint administration and enterprise endpoint management technologies
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills, with experience in Microsoft Intune and MECM/SCCM
• Ability to manage large-scale endpoint environments and develop endpoint management strategies
• Experience in analyzing operational and security data to support data-driven decision-making
