Senior System Administrator
Job Summary
To support the Defense Information Systems Agency's Appian-based contract writing system, the remote Senior System Administrator will manage system administration for IDEAS, ensuring environments are secure and compliant while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own execution of system administration for IDEAS, directing support and coordinating with Database Administrator and ISSO
- Administer RHEL, Apache HTTP, Oracle Java, and Oracle WebLogic across various environments, managing system builds and user accounts
- Test and document security patches, automate log inspection, and maintain System Administration documentation and SOPs
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux in production
- 5+ years administering Oracle WebLogic Server
- Hands-on experience with DISA STIG implementation, ACAS remediation, and IAVA compliance
- DoD PKI and SSL/TLS certificate management experience
- Bash scripting for automation and experience with log analysis tools like Splunk
