Senior System Test Engineer
Job Summary
Driving system-level testing for correctness, reliability, and performance, the full-time Senior System Test Engineer will build automated frameworks and workloads while collaborating closely with engineering teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement system test strategies prioritizing correctness, reliability, scalability, and performance
- Develop automated test frameworks and realistic workloads for data ingestion, querying, and maintenance
- Validate data integrity and conduct fault injection tests to ensure system resilience under various failure scenarios
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, system test engineering, or test infrastructure, particularly with distributed databases
- Deep understanding of distributed database concepts, including consistency models and failure recovery
- Strong programming skills in Python and at least one systems language such as Rust, C++, Java, or Go
- Hands-on experience with fault injection, performance testing, and automated testing in distributed environments
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools in engineering tasks, including coding assistants and debugging workflows
