Senior Systems Administrator
Job Summary
Supporting and maintaining enterprise Linux/UNIX systems in a remote full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Administrator will manage system administration, troubleshooting, and automation tasks across on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments, focusing on RHEL and Ubuntu.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems, including patching, upgrades, and migrations in both on-premises and Azure environments
- Monitor system performance and availability, resolving incidents and documenting corrective actions
- Automate administrative tasks using scripts and configuration management tools, while collaborating with technical teams on production changes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an information technology or healthcare systems environment
- Experience supporting Linux virtual machines and related services in Microsoft Azure
- Working knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
- Ability to perform operating system upgrades and manage lifecycle activities across environments
