Senior Systems Administrator
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs, the full-time Senior Systems Administrator will perform day-to-day operational maintenance, manage complex operating systems and server hardware, and develop solutions for technical problems in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems and server hardware
- Coordinate and execute software installations and upgrades while ensuring compliance with IT procedures
- Monitor and optimize system performance, implementing data backup and recovery strategies
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in system administration, focusing on cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience managing complex Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field
