Senior Systems Administrator
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Administrator will manage day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems and server hardware in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high-level maintenance and support for operating systems and server hardware
- Coordinate and execute complex software installations and upgrades while ensuring compliance with IT procedures
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and schedules to optimize system performance and data recoverability
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in system administration, focusing on cloud infrastructure
- Proven track record managing complex Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field
