Senior Systems Architect

Job Summary

Providing enterprise-level architectural leadership, the full-time Remote Endpoint Engineering Senior Systems Architect will formalize Enterprise Engineering planning across five divisions by establishing a repeatable process for evaluating and integrating emerging technologies while advising on modernization priorities and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor on endpoint architecture and modernization priorities to the VA Endpoint Engineering Director
• Develop and maintain the Endpoint Modernization Roadmap and Emerging Technology Assessment, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs
• Design and implement a consistent Enterprise Engineering planning process to assess and enhance existing technologies while integrating new ones across divisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field
• 12+ years of experience in systems architecture or endpoint engineering, with at least 5 years in an enterprise architecture or senior advisory role
• Deep knowledge of enterprise endpoint architecture, including Windows, macOS, mobile, and virtual desktop technologies
• Experience developing modernization roadmaps and technical standards for large, complex environments
• Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity requirements and Zero Trust principles
