Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, manage system outages, and ensure compliance with VA standards and security policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and troubleshooting for cloud systems
- Document and resolve system outages while communicating status updates to users and management
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
