Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will manage day-to-day operational support of complex cloud application systems, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with security policies while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance of production systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages, ensuring rapid recovery and communication with users
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including experience with cloud-native technologies
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Experience with network protocols, firewall configurations, and secure best practices for production systems
