Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will manage system outages, develop solutions for technical problems, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages, ensuring rapid recovery
- Communicate with users and management regarding system status and issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong experience in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance and reliability
