Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and ensure compliance with security policies while managing system outages and user support.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance for cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
- Develop and implement solutions to technical issues while documenting problems and maintaining system asset inventory
- Communicate with users and senior management regarding system statuses and provide training and documentation as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including experience with S3, Step Functions, and CloudWatch
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with experience in system administration tasks
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and configuration management
