Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Managing day-to-day operational support for complex application cloud systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will develop solutions for technical issues, document system outages, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
- Detect, isolate, and resolve system outages, documenting issues accurately
- Communicate with users and senior management regarding the status of problems and solutions
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services and tools
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
