Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Experienced in managing large-scale production systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will provide operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and ensure compliance with security policies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance for cloud systems, addressing outages and ensuring system reliability
- Document and report system issues, and communicate status updates to users and senior management
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration tasks
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes
