Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support of complex cloud systems, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with security policies while managing system performance and reliability.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud-based application systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal disruption
- Communicate with users and management regarding system status and provide documentation and training as needed
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
