Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, manage system outages, and ensure compliance with security policies while collaborating closely with customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance for cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
- Document problems and maintain system configurations, ensuring compliance with VA standards and security policies
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and respond to user calls regarding hardware and software issues
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Strong proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud, Linux/Unix, and Windows operating systems
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
