Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Experienced in managing complex application cloud systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform operational support, troubleshoot system outages, and ensure compliance with security policies in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-level operational support for cloud systems, detecting and resolving outages
- Document issues accurately and communicate status updates to users and management
- Maintain and install computing infrastructure while implementing continuous improvement methodologies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
