Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Experienced in managing complex application cloud systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will provide operational support, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages and problems during operations
- Communicate effectively with users and senior management regarding system statuses and issues
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong expertise in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
