Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) to perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operational support, including detecting and resolving system outages
- Document problems and maintain system asset inventory while implementing continuous improvement methodologies
- Communicate with users and senior management regarding the status of key issues and provide necessary documentation and training
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud technologies, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong experience in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration tasks
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance
