Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will manage system outages, develop technical solutions, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of production systems
- Detect, isolate, and resolve system outages while documenting issues accurately
- Communicate with users and senior management regarding the status of technical problems and solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including experience with S3, Step Functions, and CloudWatch
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with system administration tasks and automation tools like Ansible or Puppet
