Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support of complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and ensure compliance with security policies while managing system outages and user support.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for cloud systems, including detecting and resolving outages
- Document issues and communicate status updates to users and management
- Maintain computing infrastructure and implement continuous improvement methodologies
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
