Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, manage system outages, and ensure compliance with security policies in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance for production systems
- Develop solutions for technical problems and document issues in logging tools
- Communicate with users and management regarding system status and outages
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services and cloud-native technologies
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
