Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and manage system outages while ensuring compliance with security policies.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance for large-scale production systems
- Document and resolve system outages, ensuring timely reporting and recovery actions
- Communicate with users and management regarding system status and perform continuous improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks
