Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support of complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and manage system outages while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for cloud systems and resolve technical issues
- Document problems and communicate status updates to users and senior management
- Perform maintenance and installation of computing infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
