Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) to provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
- Document problems and communicate status updates to users and senior management
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and ensure compliance with security policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance and U.S. Citizenship is required
