Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs operations, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop technical solutions, and manage system outages while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages and problems efficiently
- Communicate with users and management regarding the status of system issues and improvements
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
