Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will provide operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop technical solutions, and ensure compliance with VA standards while managing system outages and user issues.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
- Document and resolve system outages, ensuring effective communication with users and management
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
