Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Cloud Data Pipeline (CDP) initiative, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will manage the implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of the CDP while working 100% remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical tasking and provide planning/execution support for deploying the CDP within designated cloud environments
- Implement robust data ingestion and sharing capabilities between source/recipient systems and the CDP
- Provide expert technical oversight for long-term sustainment and modernization of the CDP, ensuring compliance with established software standards
Required qualifications
- High School diploma with 6 to 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification in good standing
- Advanced programming and scripting experience in Java, .NET, or Python
- Strong background in Linux programming and system administration
- Prior production-level experience with the Confluent platform and Apache Kafka for enterprise data streaming
