Leading complex, multi-component initiatives, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will design and implement changes in a Chromium-based C++ browser and distributed services, working in a hybrid environment to enhance security and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead initiatives from problem definition through implementation and production outcomes
- Design and implement changes across C++, Go, Rust, and TypeScript for remote browsing services
- Investigate cross-layer failures and improve resilience, observability, and release safety
Required qualifications
- Strong proficiency in production C++, including memory management and debugging in large codebases
- Experience in leading complex systems or distributed-service improvements
- Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and networking fundamentals
- Experience in designing and operating distributed systems with sound judgment on service boundaries
- Ability to communicate technical trade-offs and mentor teammates effectively
