Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) to provide operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with security policies in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance for cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
- Document problems and communicate status updates to users and management while implementing continuous improvement methodologies
- Manage system assets and ensure compliance with Veterans Affairs standards and security policies
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, along with strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and configuration management
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance and U.S. citizenship is required
