Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the Ford Class Launch and Recovery Fleet Support Team, the remote Senior Systems Engineer will provide technical expertise for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) programs, focusing on troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring operational readiness.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a supporting Senior Systems Engineer to the FST Lead Engineers and Site Lead
- Provide technical expertise to resolve fleet issues, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Plan and execute logistics strategies to ensure the availability of spare parts and technical data packages
Required qualifications
- Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university, or a BS/BA with four additional years of relevant experience
- A.A.S. in Electronics Technology with a specialization in Electrical Engineering
- At least ten years of recent and relevant experience, with three years directly related to DoW systems
- Demonstrated experience in engineering and fleet-tech expertise
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
