Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Managing day-to-day operational support for complex application cloud systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will develop solutions to technical problems, respond to user issues, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages, ensuring swift recovery
- Communicate system status and updates to users and senior management
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
