Job Summary
Focusing on prototyping and validating emerging technology initiatives, the remote Senior Systems Engineer will drive product feasibility and bridge the gap between early-stage experimentation and production readiness while extending core operating system capabilities into adjacent markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, prototype, and test emerging tech features in areas adjacent to the core product roadmap
- Lead research into next-generation architectures, toolchains, or secure computing models
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for early-stage concepts
Required Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years of experience in software/hardware/embedded engineering
- Proficiency in prototyping, rapid iteration, and exploratory development
- Programming language experience in C (preferred), Python, RUST, OpenGL, and Vulkan
- Solution integration experience with Linux, Container, Virtualization, Kubernetes, and IPSec
- Bonus: experience with safety-critical systems or real-time constraints
