Senior Systems Engineer (AWS GovCloud)

Job Summary

Building and operating the AWS GovCloud infrastructure for Project Argos, the part-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS GovCloud) will manage infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and tamper-evident evidence storage while producing technical control evidence to support the project's Authority to Operate (ATO).

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the GovCloud environment using Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code, ensuring secure deployment patterns
• Design and run the CI/CD pipeline for container image build, vulnerability scanning, and deployment with effective release versioning
• Implement tamper-evident storage and logging for data ingestion and evidence packaging while managing outbound traffic to respect rate limits

Required Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services: ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, VPC networking, IAM, CloudWatch
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and container image management
• Experience operating containerized services in production environments
• Familiarity with security controls in a regulated or federal environment (NIST 800-53 or similar)
