Senior Systems Engineer (C#)
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (C#/.Net) will perform technical planning, software systems integration, and development support for .Net applications in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage technical planning and requirements definition, including test planning and execution for software systems
- Participate in daily stand-ups as an active member of the software development team, utilizing full-stack development expertise
- Document software designs and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure application performance and quality
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with five or more years of experience in .Net development
- Expertise in .Net framework and .Net Core, with strong proficiency in C# and MVC architecture
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL Server, and database design and development
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, as well as CI/CD practices
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and tools, including NUnit and xUnit
