Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Iowa) will perform technical planning, software systems integration, and development of .Net back-end applications using C#, while working remotely and collaborating with a software development team.
Key responsibilities
- Manage technical planning, requirements definition, and test execution for software systems
- Develop and maintain .Net back-end applications, ensuring performance and quality through CI/CD practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and document software designs
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with five or more years of experience
- Expertise in .Net framework and .Net Core, with strong knowledge of C# and MVC architecture
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL Server, and Entity Framework
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, along with Agile development methodologies
