Job Summary
Supporting a growing U.S. and international tax function, the full-time Senior Tax Analyst will manage recurring indirect tax compliance across various jurisdictions, prepare tax returns, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure accurate filings and timely payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and support recurring indirect tax compliance across U.S. sales and use tax, Canada GST/HST, EU VAT/OSS, Australia GST, New Zealand GST, and additional jurisdictions as needed
- Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns and supporting workpapers, ensuring accurate and timely filings and payments
- Coordinate with Avalara and external advisors on filings, data requests, and compliance issues while maintaining thorough documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
- 4-7 years of progressive tax experience in a corporate, public accounting, or advisory environment
- Strong hands-on tax compliance, reconciliation, and Excel skills
- Experience with U.S. sales and use tax and/or international VAT/GST compliance strongly preferred
- Experience with Avalara and NetSuite, including tax data extraction and compliance workflows, strongly preferred
