Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer with avionics and aerospace systems expertise, the full-time remote position will develop and maintain technical documentation for military airborne communications modernization programs, collaborating with engineering and program management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Author and maintain technical publications for aircraft avionics and communication system upgrades
- Develop technical manuals, installation procedures, and sustainment documentation
- Gather technical information from SMEs to produce clear and compliant documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 9+ years of technical writing experience
- 5+ years supporting avionics, aerospace, or military aircraft programs
- Experience in developing technical publications for complex hardware and software systems
- Familiarity with AWACS, ISR, C2, or large aircraft mission systems
