Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

Responsible for underwriting high-complexity employer groups, the full-time Senior Underwriter will lead strategic rating decisions, apply expertise in claims analysis and funding arrangements, and mentor junior staff while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite employer groups of high complexity and develop competitive pricing strategies
• Mentor and provide guidance to Underwriters and Trainees, supporting high-profile cases and RFPs
• Collaborate with Sales, Actuarial, and Leadership teams to improve underwriting processes and strategies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Underwriter is required
• Health Plan experience is preferred
